This course will provide you with an overview of the law regarding Shared Parental Leave.

• Relationship between SPL, Maternity, Adoption & Paternity Leave;
• Ending Maternity or Adoption Leave;
• Notification of SPL Dates;
• Continuous Leave;
• Discontinuous Leave;
• Changing the Dates of SPL;
• Shared Parental Leave Pay;
• The Value of Shared Parental Leave Pay;
• Rights for Employees on SPL;
• Annual Leave during Shared Parental Leave;
• Pension Contribution during Shared Parental Leave; and
• Returning to Work.

Who is it for

This course is an introduction into Shared Parental Leave and is aimed at aspiring members of the Senior Leadership Team, Line Managers, members of the Governing Body and School Business Managers.

Assessment

To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.
