Course Overview

This course will provide you with an overview of the law regarding Making a Protected Disclosure (Whistleblowing).

Intended Outcomes

By working through the training pages you will get an overview of Protected Disclosure’s and what you can do to address these. You will run through the following steps:

• What is 'whistleblowing';
• Who can make a whistleblowing claim;
• When a whistleblowing claim may fail;
• The right to confidentiality; and
• The process - how employers should manage disclosures.

Who is it for

This course is an introduction into Making a Protected Disclosure (Whistleblowing) and is aimed at aspiring members of the Senior Leadership Team, Line Managers, members of the Governing Body and School Business Managers.

Assessment

To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.
