Investigations in the context of an Educational Setting
Who is it for?
The course is aimed at those that may be involved in undertaking either a disciplinary or grievance investigation. This could include Governors, Trustees, members of SLT, SBMs, HR team members or other line managers.
Intended Outcomes
The session will provide a practical overview of both disciplinary and grievance investigations, including the key differences in both processes. At the end of the session it is intended that participants will understand:
- When and why managers may be required to undertake an investigation;
- the role of the Investigating Officer;
- What is involved in with both a disciplinary and grievance investigation;
- The importance of Interviews;
- Assessing your evidence and pulling this information together formally and
- Recommendations that can be made.
Cost

The cost of this session starts at £995 plus VAT for up to 20 participants for clients of the Employment Law & HR Service. Each additional participant will be charged at £55 plus VAT per head. Where the session is to be delivered on site, in person, reasonable travel expenses will be charged in addition to the session cost.

CPD

This course equates to 2 hours of CPD and following attendance on the course, participants will be sent electronic copies of their CPD certificate, copies of the slides and activities discussed during the session.
