Working at Height (Basics) for Schools
Course Overview:
This course provides the participant with the knowledge and training to be able to complete basic working at height. This will enable the employer to demonstrate that appropriate training has been provided for the use of Stepladders and Stools.
Intended Outcomes:
On completion of this training the learners with have an appropriate understanding of the following:
- What constitutes working at height
- Equipment for low level work at height
- Working at height risks and hazard controls
- How to use equipment safely
- Inspecting Stepladders and pre-use checks
Who is it for:
Teachers and support staff who are required to complete basic working at height (using stepladders and stools) as part of their duties. This course is not suitable for all working at height activities. Premises staff and those using access equipment other than step ladders and stools need to complete additional training.
Duration:
30 minutes.
The Cost:
This course is available as part of our eLearning annual licence which includes unlimited access to the full Health and Safety eLearning Library for £1,385 plus VAT per annum.
Alternatively, if your school subscribes to our annual Health and Safety Support Service, you will receive access to our entire health and safety eLearning library at no extra cost.
Assessment:
To successfully complete the course, Learners will be required to pass a short assessment.
CPD:
Upon successful completion of the course learners will be issued a CPD accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 1 hour of CPD.
