Course Overview
This course provides those responsible for managing the fire safety systems in schools with the information required to successfully fulfill this role.
Intended Outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide those with a fire management responsibility the information required to ensure they are fully aware of the legal requirements and how to practically fulfill their responsibilities. On completion of the course the learner will be able to:
- Identify the relevant fire safety legislation and associated fire safety guidance
- Understand key fire safety terms
- Understand the fire risk assessment process
- Assist with the development of Fire Emergency plans
- Manage actions raised from fire risk assessments
Who is it for
Designed for Premises Managers, School Business Managers and Head Teachers (those responsible for fire safety management).
Duration
30 to 45 minutes.

Assessment
To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.

Upon successful completion of the course learners will be issued accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 1 hour of CPD.
