Course Overview

This course will provide Governors with an understanding of their health and safety responsibilities, what can go wrong and how they can assist the school in making sure all required management procedures are in place and followed.

Intended Outcomes

The aim of the course is to provide Governors with the knowledge to be able to effectively manage the health and safety of the school in line with their responsibilities under local management of schools and relevant legislation. On successful completion of the course Governors will be able to:

• Recognise the importance of health and safety management
• Understand their role and responsibilities for health and safety
• Appreciate the consequences of failing to manage health and safety effectively
• Know how to plan and carry out successful health and safety management with the school
• Understand the importance of monitoring and reviewing health and safety systems and procedures

This course is available as part of our eLearning annual licence which includes unlimited access to the full Health and Safety eLearning Library for £1,385 plus VAT per annum.

Alternatively, if your school subscribes to our annual Health and Safety Support Service, you will receive access to our entire health and safety eLearning library at no extra cost.

Assessment

To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.

CPD

Upon successful completion of he course learners will be issued accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 1 hour of CPD.
