What this course contains
This course is designed to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the key requirements of The Control of Asbestos Regulations and the best practice to manage asbestos. It will provide guidance on the key management requirements within a school environment.
Intended Outcomes
Course participants will:
- Understand what asbestos is and what hazards it poses
- Have a thorough understanding of asbestos legislation
- Be given practical advice about the concerns and management requirements within a school environment
- Know the requirements regarding asbestos waste and removal
- Know what emergency procedures are necessary when dealing with asbestos
Who is this course for
Persons responsible for managing or carry out functions to manage risks from asbestos and those who may come into contact with asbestos as part of their daily work activities, typically School Business Managers and Premises Officers or people in similar positions.
The cost
The course costs £719.25 + VAT and can be delivered on site for up to 16 delegates.
For schools that do not subscribe to our Health & Safety Support Service, fees are £1,080.71 + VAT.
Assessment
To successfully complete the course, participants will be required to pass a short assessment.
CPD
Upon successful completion of the course participants will be issued a CPD accredited certificate. The course equates to 3 hours of CPD.
