The aim of the course is to provide you with the knowledge to understand the following: What is biometric data - The benefits of using biometric data - When to use biometrics and when to obtain consent - The security required for biometric data - Individual rights in relation to biometric data - How the data protection act applies to biometric data (including conducting impact assessments).

To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.
