Who is it for?

This briefing is aimed at those that will be reviewing and/or moderating performance reviews, with a view to making a decision on Pay. This could include members of SLT, SBMs, HR team members or other line managers. 

Briefing Overview

We know that shortly many schools will be holding end of year appraisals with teaching staff (and in some settings support staff too) to review progress towards the previous year’s appraisal targets, set new targets and ultimately make an assessment in regard to pay. 

In this briefing we will explore the key things to consider should the decision, based on performance and progress towards appraisal targets be not to award a pay increment. The session will explore key parts of the process and evidence that may be open to challenge on appeal, so that you can be prepared for this.
