Course Overview
Prevent is a statutory duty for schools, there is now a legal obligation to “have due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism”. The aim of this course is to provide you with the knowledge to understand the following:
- The Prevent Strategy
- The implications of the Prevent Strategy on your school or college
Intended Outcomes
We’ll look at the following topics to ensure you understand the aims of the Prevent Strategy and know what actions you need to take to meet the statutory requirements within your school or college:
- Channel
- The Prevent Strategy
- Prevent Guidance for school and colleges
- Identifying risks
- Implications for schools and colleges
- Practical steps for schools and colleges

1.5 to 2 hours
The Cost
This course is available as part of our eLearning annual licence which includes unlimited access to the full Clerking & Governance eLearning Library for £885 plus VAT per annum.
Alternatively, if your school subscribes to our annual Clerking & Governance Support Service, you will receive access to our entire Clerking & Governance eLearning library at no extra cost.
Assessment
To successfully complete the course, learners will be required to pass a short assessment.
CPD
Upon successful completion of he course learners will be issued accredited certificate to download. The course equates to 2 hours of CPD.
