What this course contains
This course is designed to provide attendees with the information needed to effectively manage fire safety in their educational environment. Attendees will be able to understand the importance and responsibilities of the Fire Warden role and will assist the school with the prevention of fires and with emergency situations.
Intended Outcomes
Attendees will:
- Understand the characteristics of fire and smoke
- Know the importance of routine and external fire checks and tests
- Recognise the importance of good housekeeping and know how to manage this
- Know how to use basic firefighting equipment
- Understand what is required in an emergency and understand normal human behaviour in these situations
- Understand why fire drills are required and know how to complete them
Who is this course for
This course is designed for staff that are appointed to undertake the role of a Fire Warden in a school.
The cost
The course costs £719.25 + VAT and can be delivered on site to small or larger groups for up to 16 delegates.
For schools that do not subscribe to our Health & Safety Support Service, fees are £1,080.71 + VAT.
Assessment
To successfully complete the course, attendees will be required to pass a short assessment.
CPD
Upon successful completion of the course attendees will be issued a CPD accredited certificate. The course equates to 3 hours of CPD.
