What this course contains
This course is designed to provide attendees with the information needed to effectively manage fire safety in their educational environment. Attendees will be able to understand key legal requirements and their role and responsibility in assisting the school to meet fire safety requirements.
Intended Outcomes
Attendees will:
- Understand why fire safety is important in schools
- Know the basic principles of fire, how it starts and how to prevent it
- Recognise the different types of fire and understand the importance of this
- Be advised about basic firefighting skills
- Know what to do in the event of a fire
Who is this course for
This course is suitable for all school staff and designed to provide the basic information all staff should know with regards to fire safety.
The cost
The course costs £719.25 + VAT and can be delivered on site to small or larger groups up to 16 delegates.
For schools that do not subscribe to our Health & Safety Support Service, fees are £1,080.71 + VAT.
Assessment
To successfully complete the course, attendees will be required to pass a short assessment.
CPD
Upon successful completion of the course attendees will be issued a CPD accredited certificate. The course equates to 3 hours of CPD.
