Safeguarding, SEND and HR: Supporting the Mental Health of Everyone Within School

About this event

The Department for Education (DfE) and the Office for Health Improvement & Disparities published guidance on the 8 key principles of a whole school or college approach to mental health and wellbeing.

These included leadership and management that supports and champions efforts to promote emotional health and wellbeing as well as staff development to support their own wellbeing and that of pupils and learners.

Mental health support has become a clear focus for school and trust leaders, particularly since the pandemic. In this sofa we bring together our Safeguarding, SEND and HR experts to look at a whole-school approach to mental health.

During the session we will be discussing the following:

        • Supporting staff to understand the importance of mental health
        • Safeguarding pupils with mental health concerns
        • Tips to support the mental health of your staff

Let us introduce you to this week's professional speakers
