Who is it for?
This course is aimed at all education sector organisations who want to make sure their practices are in line with the new legal Duty to Prevent Sexual Harassment and in line with the EHRC (Equality and Human Rights Commission) technical guidance on this duty.
What's included:
A comprehensive Duty to Prevent Sexual Harassment in the Workplace - Training and Resource Pack. This pack is full of useful resources to help your school get ready for the new duty and comply with its legal obligations. It contains the following:

SLT & Manager Live interactive training and workbook. This interactive training will inform managers on the types of discrimination that can occur in the workplace, distinguish between harassment and bullying with a focus on sexual harassment including what may amount to sexual harassment; how it can occur; what steps should be taken if it is reported to the manager and how to stay compliant with the new duty to avoid future claims and liability. This session will be delivered on the below dates and your managers & SLT members will be given the options to choose the best session for them.

Certificate issued to SLT and line managers who have attended the above training so both they and you can evidence this action.

Staff training video and workbook. This training teaches staff about the types of discrimination including sexual harassment, what behaviour can amount to sexual harassment, how they can help prevent it happening and what to do if they experience it, with interactive activities throughout.

Ongoing support to line managers for questions raised by staff following the training.

Two posters to be placed around the school/trust – the first highlighting the types of sexual harassment and the second highlighting how staff can report concerns.

A template tracking spreadsheet to enable you to track the scheduling and completion of the staff training, and confirmation that the relevant policies have been read by staff, which can be used to help defend a claim, to enable you to evidence this action.

Managers Guide on handling initial complaints of sexual harassment.

Template Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy, drafted in line with EHRC guidance.

Template Risk Assessment as recommended by EHRC.

Flow Diagram to help you establish what amounts to harassment.
Location
- The managers live training will be run remotely via Zoom.
- The staff training will be a pre-recorded video which can be accessed when required.
Cost

For clients of the Employment Law & HR service - £200.00 plus VAT per line manager/SLT member, for a minimum of 5-line manager/SLT members.

For non-clients of the Employment Law & HR service - £300.00 plus VAT per line manager/SLT member, for a minimum of 5-line manager/SLT members.
